SEO On Stage didn't begin with a slide deck. It began with two obsessions that took twenty years to meet.
My very first job was with a company called On Stage, where I worked as events manager — learning how a room is built, how a night is paced, and how an audience is moved. Everything after that was search: a twenty-year career in SEO, spent at every kind of industry conference, watching brilliant ideas delivered under fluorescent lights over lukewarm coffee.
The two halves of that career kept pointing at the same thing. The search community — one of the most creative and generous industries there is — deserved a better stage. So we built one.
