The Benaki's contemporary cultural center on Pireos Street.
Pireos 138 & Andronikou, 118 54 Athens, Greece
Purpose-built for talks and performance — raked seating, proper sightlines, and a stage sized for a real show, not a panel table.
An 850 m² covered courtyard at the building's heart — the natural home for intermissions, the welcome reception, and the evening's food and drink.
The foyer holds 350 standing and the café/restaurant another 200 seated — room for the conversations that happen between the talks.
The Benaki Museum's Pireos 138 building is the institution's contemporary venue — a renovated industrial structure organised around an open interior atrium, on one of Athens' main new cultural axes. Its 360-seat amphitheatre is built for conferences, talks, music, theatre and dance, with a foyer and atrium alongside for the receptions. A clean, modern counterpoint to the city's ancient stone.
Kerameikos (line 3) or Petralona (line 1) — a short walk or quick taxi along Pireos.
